The Teddy Bear with no name competition, date extended to 31st October 2017

Calling village children under 10 ! Poor Mr Bear - he has no name. Will you help give our new Teddy Bear Bin in the play area at Coronation Hall a name?

The best name and runners-up name will be choosen by the councillors. The winner and runner-up will be presented with a very special teddy bear.

Book a table at Harvest Lunch - 15th October at 12pm

The harvest lunch will be held at the Coronation Hall on Sunday 15th October at midday. Tickets are £12.50  for adults and £6.50 for children (under 12 years old). To book a table contact Gill on 813255.

Mobile Library - New timetable from the 6th October 2017

The mobile library will be at The Church, Bleadon every two weeks on a Friday from 10.45am to 12.45 from Friday 6th October 2017 to March 2018. Please click here to view the timetable.

Allotments available

Bleadon Parish Council has one half sized allotment plot available to rent. The annual cost of rental for half a plot is £7.50. If anyone wishes to rent a plot then please contact the Parish Clerk on 07453358318 or parishclerk@bleadonparishcouncil.gov.uk

Open Day 13th September - New Development Planned, Come and have your say

Sutherland PropeOpen Day Posterrty & Legal Services Ltd, are proposing providing a primary school for the Village and a large scale residential scheme of up to 250 houses to facilitate it.  

Open day Wednesday 13th September at Jubilee Hall, Bleadon 11am - 6pm.  They invite all members of the community to come along and find out more. There will be feedback form available on the day, but if you are unable to attend and would like to know more ...

Road Closure

NORTH SOMERSET DISTRICT COUNCIL have made an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent by works carried out by BT to carry out works on an overhead structure. This will become operative on the 13 February 2017 from 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be two days in duration.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES Roman Road (part unaffected), Bleadon Hill, Bridgwater Road (A370), Broadway, Oldmixon Road, Main Road, Hutton Hill, Canada Coombe, Roman Road (part unaffected) and vice versa. ROMAN ROAD – From the caravan site at Gorselands for approximately three hundred metres in a north easterly direction to property Oakley.
